Sony Dropping Support for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale

Its been confirmed that Sony’s Santa Monica studio will no longer be developing the fighting title PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. The game, where you see famous PlayStation characters fight it out, has seen its fair share of troubles before with Sony splitting from the original developer, SuperBot Entertainment, in February of this year.

What does it mean when a company won’t be developing for a game that’s already been released? There will be no additional characters to purchase or DLC created for the game. The last bit of DLC will come on August 27th, when those outside of the US will be able to get the formally US only pre-order skins for Dante, Raiden, Heihachi, and Big Daddy. There will also be a patch to work on some balancing issues later this year and will come alongside free costumes for Zeus and Dead Space’s Isaac Clarke.
